- We are seeking volunteers who are physically able to lift heavy stones, dig and shovel on Friday, May 20th between 10am and 4pm. The bulk of the work will be trenching, moving and leveling gravel in place. There is likely to be demolition of the existing wood too. The more volunteers the merrier; we could have rotating teams so folks can rest and keep a good pace. If you are available and willing or might know someone who can lend their strength, please be back in touch with me. - We are looking for volunteers on Sunday – May 15, 2016 at 200 West St, Waltham, MA for our upcoming Boston Brain Tumor Ride. Volunteer shifts are from 5:00AM - 3:00PM (can be half day too).
Volunteers will assist with set-up, registration, break-down, food, and more. If you or someone you know would like to volunteer please contact [email protected] - Babysitting during PHA's ESL class for adults is starting on Thursday March 17, 2016 is looking for 2 responsible students who can volunteer their time to help. Thank you for your kindness! - WBUR's Fundraising Events:Our next volunteer event will be from December 7 through 11, and we’re looking for volunteers to fill shifts all throughout those days – from 6:30AM to 7PM.Volunteers help answer our phones during our pledge drives, taking down donations from callers who want to support the station. We’ll provide all the training they’ll need when they arrive. Volunteers will get to enjoy free parking, delicious food from great Boston restaurants, a behind the scenes tour of the radio station, and a great feeling knowing they are helping make public radio possible. - Tech Goes Home: Looking for eager individuals or groups that can serve as tech assistants, language translators, tutorial translators, and small business assistants in our classrooms. - YES Junior Volunteer Junior Volunteer (JRV) gives you the opportunity to earn community service hours while learning to ski or snowboard! Help teach younger kids to ski and snowboard and give back to your community.Applications are due October 2, 2015.
- YES Skateboarding for Good Join 14 other teens on 4 community service trips to help beautify the Charles River. At the end of the program you'll be given a brand new professional quality skateboard and helmet courtesy of Vans. This is a great way to learn about conservation, knock out community service hours, and meet other teens from Boston schools.
