By the end of this module, students will be able to identify five of their greatest strengths and justify the connection to enrichment opportunities. Students will compare and contrast strengths and weaknesses. Students will identify the feelings connected with building upon their strengths. Students will identify how they spend the majority of their time each day and compare how much time is spent doing activities that make them feel strong vs. how much time is spent doing activities that make them feel weak. Students will identify how much time they can dedicate to enrichment programming. Students will identify their #1 strength, the population they would like to work with, when they are available for programming, and at least one program they are interested in pursuing.

SMART Goals Document By the end of this module, students will be able to develop SMART goals for their enrichment search process. Students will develop a schedule in order to set aside time for the search process. Students will identify at least one peer who will hold them accountable for sticking to their search process goals. Students will share resources for searching for enrichment programming (websites, newspapers, locations around the city and at school, people to talk to, etc). Students will sign up for teenlife.com and the Boston Youth Zone newsletter. Students will begin to compile a list of enrichment programs they plan to pursue.

By the end of this module students will have discussed proper interview etiquette. Students will practice interview introductions through skits, including direct eye contact, firm handshakes, and verbal introductions. Students complete a Pretest on Interview Skills in order to begin thinking about interview questions. Students will discuss their answers and what questions seemed easy or difficult to answer.
Pretest - Interview Skills Students will be able to identify the steps of networking. Students will analyze behavior that is appropriate when networking. They will be able to identify strategies to network with individuals in their existing social circles and outside of their social circles. Students will practice appropriate networking techniques.
Students will be able to identify qualities employers seek in prospective employees,and analyze behavior that may--or may not--be appropriate in the workplace. They will be able to identify specific strategies to improve their own workplace readiness and practice appropriate skills and behavior based on possible workplace scenarios.
